A little while ago, i blogged about Miu Miu’s ‘Life as a theater’ S/S 08 Collection. At the time there were two particular pieces which stood out for me, known as the Lady Harlequin tops (Link). The pieces themselves are now in the sale over at Net-a-porter. But if your still looking for a little inspiration, then check them out in Bergdorf Goodman’s s/s 08 magazine titled ‘In Realms Fantastical & Strange’. The shoot is clearly very creative and magical, and its interesting to see how the clothes (such as the Lady Harlequin) collaborate with the background settings of Lord of the Rings, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and the world of Roald Dahl.

Note: It’s interesting to see that although alot of traditional iconic props have been used in the shoot…….nothing to do with the circus or theatre have been used in showcasing Miu Miu’s pieces, which infact take inspiration from these things themselves. Now that’s what you call letting the clothes speak for themselves!
