I’ve never really been experimental or into makeup and thats because of two reasons. Firstly, because im so bad in applying it, and secondly because of being a poor student and not wanting to waste money on cheap products that could harm my skin! Eeek! However, now that i am no longer a student and have the chance to invest in some good quality cosmetics, i thought it was about time i had a look to see what was on offer.
After feeling like a child in a sweet shop with all the gorgeous colourful jewel-tones available by most brands this season, I decided they weren’t for me…a little too bright, a little too loud, and to be honest i don’t want to risk looking like a clown! Instead i’ve decided to stay basic, yet classic and no one does classic like YSL.
This season YSL is celebrating the classic tuxedo look by releasing the YSL Tuxedo Collection. The collection aims to create a seductive yet elegant look, with smoky eyes and shocking pink lips. My favourite piece from the collection is the collector palette for eyes, which offers its very own interpretation of the tuxedo with 3 fabulous tones to take you from day to night. There is a classic and intense black, a shimmery grey and a light champagne….all three can either be used on their own or mixed together to create the desired tuxedo effect.
I don’t know about you, but at the moment this palette is on my wish list!
