Now i don’t usually blog about Bollywood magazines, but anyone who knows me very well (or has picked up from this blog) will know that i am a big fan of the Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor. In my opinion, out of all the newcomers Sonam has all the requirements to make it big, plus i love her experimental style and attitude to life.
Sonam is perhaps one of the most popular actresses to grace magazine covers in India at the moment, and the fascinating thing is that she looks different in every single one. Each shoot, seems to show a different side to her, and most of the time she’s actually styled in her own clothes!
The fashionista is currently on the cover of FilmFare’s January 2009 issue….and i must say, i was quite shocked and very impressed with the photos for a filmi focused mag!

Being a regular reader of Filmfare, I’ve seen quite a few Sonam Kapoor shoots and barring her first appearance there, I’ve liked them all. I remember her saying somewhere that she likes working with the stylists as they are all her age and open to experimentation which leads to interesting shoots and definite departure from usual film photo journalism. I can’t say much about other filmi mags as I don’t read them regularly but I am pretty impressed with Filmfare of late, having roped in good stylists and fashion photographers to liase with them for their shoots.
I esp love the pics featuring the balloon-sleeved Just Cavalli top…However, I didn’t like the cover so much though or maybe that’s just because Filmfare been’s doing a lot of white-themed covers lately and it seemed like a white over-kill;)
This makes TWO of us. I am a huge fan of this leggy beauty. I believe that Sonam has more class than half the Bollywood heroines put together. This is such an awesome shoot!

I do think one of the reasons her shoots are good is due to her involvement….i’ve just seen some scans of Vidya Balan for Filmfare and they are the complete opposite to Sonam’s!
