Sonam Kapoor recently graced the August cover of Elle India (link) wearing a Rohit Bal creation. Inside however, it was interesting to see that some of her own pieces were included in the shoot, specifically a Victor Costa Couture dress.
Now im not sure if you remember, but a few months ago i posted about a [...]

Manav Gangwani’s couture collection, can only be described as Royal Indian bridal wear meets Queen Elizabeth….if that makes any sense…
Whilst traditional zardosi and sitara work were used on the churidar’s, sari’s and lengha’s, some of the traditional silhouettes were given a little twist. I say some, because a few pieces such as Bollywood actress Karisma [...]

Being named the classic black and white collection, Ashish Soni’s couture pieces are chic and sophisticated.
Even though we all love the beauty and craftsmanship of traditional indian wear, it was nice to see a collection being the complete opposite. The simplicity of this collection makes it very wearable, and reminds me of Armani, with the soft [...]

“Bringing a Bollywood celebrity is a mere gimmick and nothing else. Let your collection speak for you. No glamour quotient can save a bad collection from getting brickbats.” – J J Valaya
So there was no bollywood celeb walking down J J Valaya’s catwalk, but one thing (apart from the clothes of course) that was noticeable, [...]

Apologies for the lateness in posting about India Couture Week, and generally updating my blog. The past week has been rather chaotic, which has unfortunately affected my blog as well. Anyway, instead of editing the last post, i thought i’d start with a fresh new one.
Indian designer Ritu Kumar was the first to present her [...]

When it comes to vintage pieces, there is nothing better then a piece of couture. This gorgeous Vintage Black Bubble Bow Dress by Victor Costa, is perfect for cocktail parties. It takes the simple and elegant LBD and dresses it up in it’s own way with a beautiful bubble shape and bow…….a little Blair Waldorf [...]

I absolutely love this piece from the Givenchy Spring 2008 Couture Collection. The colour is pure, fresh and crisp. The shape and cuts of feminine curls, ripples fall perfectly into place.
*Sigh* Perfection and beauty all rolled into one. If i could, this is what i would wear today……
